An Assistant Professor at Radford University, I'm teaching Statistical Decision Support and Operations Management this Spring semester. Prior to teaching at RU, I taught at Western Carolina University and worked in information technology and operations in higher education, industry, and government settings.

As recent articles in the Wall Street Journal, USA Today, and other major news media report, quantitative or math and statistical skills have become among the most highly desired skills of many employers.  Statistical Decision Support is a course designed to provide an introduction into management science methods used to support organizational decision-making.  Aspects of decision modeling are discussed and topics covered including forecasting, network analysis, linear programming, and inventory management all with a focus on their applications for improving managerial decision-making. Operations Management is a course designed to provide an introduction to the processes and supply chains that transform inputs into finished goods and distribute them to customers. The course explores how to analyze processes, ensure quality, create value, and manage the flow of information, products and services across a network of customers, enterprises, and supply chain partners.

Spring 2012 Office Hours: Mon and Fri 9:00am - 10:30am and Wed 2:30pm - 4:30pm; other times by appointment or walk-in anytime I'm in my office (134 Whitt Hall).
